Strike-A-Chord Life-Skills Musical on DVD

I am very excited to announce that we have started work on producing the first Strike-A-Chord music-based life-skills education and character building program on DVD.

The ‘Strike-A-Chord’ school show has been seen by hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren — and now we’re going to reach — and impact, even more children around the world — because we’re creating a character building life-skills DVD based on my “Strike-A-Chord” educational program. Purchase of our products supports our Global-Giving Concerts.

The DVD will feature a specially filmed Strike-A-Chord school music show. Interweaved with the show will be life-skills music videos, several characters with whom children can identify and learn from, a compelling and engaging story and special footage from my visits to children in different countries to encourage global harmony. The songs serve as anchors and teaching points for the lesson plans. Children learn the benefits of having a positive attitude, responsible behavior and making healthy choices throughout their lives.

THE RESULTS?

Using songs and fun video segments, the DVD will cover themes such as:

• Breathing & Focus
• Healthy Choices
• Global cultural harmony
• Environment
• Responsibility

Through music, lyrics and lesson plans, we will touch upon some of the issues and challenges kids aged K-6 experience, face, and encounter. Through the lesson plans, the DVD will also encourage teachers and parents to engage children in transformational conversation and activities.

Our DVD and lesson plans will help kids grow emotionally, physically and intellectually — encouraging creative expression.

Many years ago I created this program and designed it as a live presentation — but as an individual, I can only give one school or organization presentation a day. Now, through the production of the DVDs and related web-based technologies, there can be 10… 20… 50 — even 100 presentations a day — each and every day for kids around the world!

MEET Strike-A-Chord DVD Development Team

Karl writes anthems for life. From leading the very first Russian/American Youth Summit in Moscow, to performing in homeless shelters in Asia, Karl has toured the globe uniting our humanity with his presence and his music.

Beejal’s background is in business development and strategy , project management , social media marketing , international sales and marketing , and personal development.

Beejal manages all levels of the project. From overseeing product development, which includes website development to coordinating media and PR, from brand development to video production. He produced ‘Dear Mr. President’ and is working closely with the media team on the DVD production.

Louie was the music director for Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” Campaign. In 1989 he wrote, produced and directed the Official Just Say No video — a musical titled Don’t Say Yes When You Really Mean No! This video became the #1 drug and peer-pressure educational video of all time, purchased by more than 8,000 schools, libraries and youth groups worldwide. It is still in use today!

Throughout the 1990’s Louie created more youth-at-risk educational musical videos — including a best-selling puppet version of his original Just Say No video, and a pregnancy prevention education video for teens and pre-teens, credited with lowering the teen pregnancy rate.

Mary Resenbeck is a passionate and dedicated educator. She loves working with children — and they love how she combines academics with music, theater and art.

With her high-energy personality, Mary easily engages children, whether teaching academics, or her passion — life skills. She also understands that children respond best to multi sensory learning. She applies this understanding when working with children, adding this approach to her experience in the Montessori teaching methods.
